Automatic "Thank You" email
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Is there any way to set up a "thank you" email for the user. We've been using Wufoo.com for online giving (which has that feature), and have switched to using this add-on on a C5 page – which is great.
But, being able to send an automatic "thank you email" would be amazing.

I would also like this functionality implemented.

I've inquired to a third party developer to include the ability to add an auto-responder. Is this something I could just pay you to add into the system so it would be included in future releases ( 5.5x+) ?
Also the ability to add a company field ( or allow the admin to add their own fields )
Please advise.

Hi there,
We have two items in our roadmap for the next release. (As a note, we do have version 2.0 for 5.5 and 2.1 for 5.6.) The new features will be:
1. Limiting the number of transaction by a given IP address in a given hour (we are seeing fraud sent through some of our client's forms, and have solved it with this.)
2. Company name (perhaps the ability to add other fields as well - not sure about that).
It is not likely that we will add the ability for an autoresponder. We have spent considerable time thinking about that feature, and there are just too many variables to deal with to make it stable and understandable for everyone. We typically recommend (and have built for our own clients) a Concrete5 job that is run with a cron and send the message we want to send.
We could definitely take a look at doing this for you. If it is straightforward (the same message to everyone, with fields filled in like name, purchase total, etc.), we can put that together for you in 2-3 hours max.
I hope that helps. Thanks again for the contact!

I think you've got the idea of what I need.
What's the cost and your paypal email and let's move forward. Just need applied to v2.0 initially.

Moving this to a PM.
I would love to promise an email to user integration, but truthfully, it probably won't go in (unless there is a lot of interest). The reason is that I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make this add-on as easy to use as possible. Integration of an email would require additional complexity. For example, do we need to provide a templating system so the user can "define" the wording?
My goal was really to integrate this in the SIMPLEST form possible, so I left a lot of things out that could have gone in. An email reply was one of those things.
That said, it would not be hard to program that after the fact as a job in C5. I know you're not a developer...but anyone that understands PHP and C5 development could put that together (most likely).
Again - thanks for the ideas. I'll definitely keep my ear open for everyone's suggestions...and implement those ideas that consistently come to the fore.
