Image in blocks does not appear sometimes

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,
I'm using Block Designer Pro 2.5 in concrete5 5.7.

I made some blocks to display images using Image item of Block Designer. But in Chrome and Safari, embedded images sometimes don't appear.

Not always, but every 3 or 4 times, the image disappears. Please look this page-list and open some pages, and you'll find some white spaces.

In "Network" tab of Chrome DevTools, these images seems to be successfully loaded. When I changed one css property of the images through DevTools, they appears and never disappears.
I suspect it's related to cache, but other blocks displaying cached images (not generated by Block Designer) show their images successfully.

Do you have some ideas about this?

Hi there,

Indeed, it doesn't always show. On page refresh it does though. This isn't a "Block Designer" issue, more a HTML or concrete5 issue. Did you try and see what it does with the default concrete5 theme? Try some things out and see what happens.

If you can't seem to find out, try out the forums?

Let me know what you tried and if anything worked.

Kind regards,

Ramon

Hi Ramon,

Thank you for your reply. I tried to check the bug in concrete5 default theme, then it didn't occurred. I suspected the flex-box layout in my theme occurred the bug, but even when I deleted flex-box, the bug occurred.

Thank you for the hints. I'll try out the concrete5 forum.

Best regards,

Shingo

Hi Shingo,

At least you know now it's something with the theme you're using. Try disabling bit by bit. Perhaps first the CSS, then JS. If you then know it's CSS, try removing bit by bit of the CSS and check when it does work. Trial and error! :)

Kind regards,

Ramon
