8.5.4 compatibility and continuing support

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi. I'm really interested in using this add-on.

1. Is it still being developed?
2. Does it work with concrete5 8.5.4 and PHP 7.3+?

Thanks!
Simon.

Hi Simon,
Thank you for your interest in this package.

> 1. Is it still being developed?
We're working to improve the package with additional functionalities. But it's stable enough to work with the basic functionalities.
It has been passed through the PHPUnit tests and the PRB review.

> 2. Does it work with concrete5 8.5.4 and PHP 7.3+?
Yes, it works with concrete5 8.5.4 and PHP 7.3+. It's already in service on few concrete5 sites with concrete5 8.5.2 & 8.5.4 and PHP 7.3+.

If you have any other queries/advice please let us know.

Thanks.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast!

Great news that you’re actively working on the add-on.

Can I ask a few questions about functionality?
1. When a subscription is purchased does it create a c5 member account for the purchaser that can then be used to control access to content?
2. If a subscription expires or is cancelled does it disable the c5 member account?
3. I guess subscription reminders, confirmation emails etc. are handled through Stripe?

Thanks,
Simon.

You're very welcome.

> 1. When a subscription is purchased does it create a c5 member account for the purchaser that can then be used to control access to content?
When you purchase a subscription it asks the user to log in or register. See here-http://prnt.sc/v9yxzb

> 2. If a subscription expires or is cancelled does it disable the c5 member account?
No, it doesn't. You can select a user group for the plan. When a user subscribes to your plan, the user gets entered into the group. When the subscription gets expired/canceled the user gets removed from the group.

> 3. I guess subscription reminders, confirmation emails etc. are handled through Stripe?
Yes, it's being handled through stripe. But there is an option to send a welcome email from concrete5 on a new subscription and its configurable. And you have the freedom to implement custom functionalities using the webhook.
