Thanks for your answer Mesuva.

That sounds like something is going wrong on the server when it tries to save.

May be something about text format ?
When I type directly in the editor the code remains
When I copy/paste the code it disappears.

You can go back on the page : I set the number of lines to 100, and now there is a lot of (100 ?) blank lines...
Trying on an other page :http://laboiteaphysique.fr/site2/index.php/programmation-et-logicie...
A little piece of the whole code (just 11 lines) and it remains

When adding some code it sometimes remains or not.
In the ;zip attached, there is the .py file that I want to put in Code Display : could you try it ?
Thanks
Vincent

I was able to add that code to an v8 site and have it display correctly.
When you add it to the page, can you view in Chrome's Developer console any javascript errors, or any errors under the Network tab?

In fact the problem comes when in the original code there is a line wrap (see file code1.png) and how it's pasted in Code Editor (file code2.png).
I'v tried copying the code from two different text editor (gedit and geany (I'm working with Linux).
Could it be a problem related to text format ?
I didn't have the problem with concrete5 5.6 (seehttp://laboiteaphysique.fr/site/la-boite-outils/logiciels/rigolinux... (I'm rewritting my old site with concrete5 8 version))
With the old version, Code Display is using the whole width of page...

It could line-ending encoding, you could try changing the line endings used in your code editor before cutting and pasting.
What is strange though is that it works on one page, but not another.

I can't see the actual code on the page at all, so it's either not saving correctly or something else is going wrong.
After you have added it to the page can you see the code while in edit mode?
What happens if you go back and edit this page, does the code re-appear?
