very nice concept!
as a side note to all, if you get the above message, make sure that all files in your Cu3er are writable with permissions like 777 or whatever works for you.
thanks!

Permissions caught me out too but this post has sorted it all, very helpful.
The latest version of the Cu3er block has just been released and it now stores configuration data in the database rather than an XML file, so this will prevent file permission errors in the future.

I loved this add on when I saw its capabilities and went ahead and downloaded it. Unfortunately I can't get it to display any of my pictures. It dispalys a white background with CU3er logo loaded in the middle.
Besides all the permissions have been set correctly to 777. I have attached my results below.

Hi Chyke,
It sounds like your server is blocking access because the "full" file path is being passed into the "getimagesize" function.
This part of the code isn't essential and is only used for better handing of different image sizes.
I've attached a revised controller.php file which captures the error neatly. Try replacing the block controller.php file with this one and let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your message.
Yes, depending on your server configuration, you may need to manually set the folder permissions for the "XML" folder inside the cu3er package (located in packages/cu3er/blocks/cu3er/xml/). Please set the folder permissions to "777" or "755". This will allow the block to generate the required XML files on the fly.
