Sending email and notifications in UTF-8
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi there,
I'm building a website with this wonderful addon, and have translatted all the notifications and e-mails to portuguese, but as portuguese uses this characters (á, é, ç, ã, and so on) I need to send the e-mails (both to admin and to user) with utf-8 encoding, otherwise this characters are replaced with strange symbols.
Any help?!
Thank in advance.
Pedro

Hi there,
Yes, is just a problem with the e-mails sent, because the form only has the e-mail field and you can't use this characters in e-mail addresses.

It sounds like an issue with the Concrete5 Mail functionality -- I am going to ask the C5 folks about this and will let you know what I find out.
Thanks,
Do that please and then let me know what you find out. By the way, I'm sending e-mails through the Default PHP Mail Function, haven't tried with the External SMTP Server yet. Do you think that could be the problem?! Either way, if you find out something, let me know.

Is this just a problem with the emails (is the actual block being displayed correctly on your website -- for example if you set a portuguese label for the form does it show up on the web page correctly)?
