Not sure how active this plugin is but hope this helps. I have a live-ish web server that mirrors our production server, but each site runs under a sub directory this plugin works well once in production (their own domain) but under our UAT server it was dropping the directory. So here is a quick and dirty work around, Lines 40 and 49 in jbx_force_ssl.php.

header('HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently');
            header('Location: ' . $base_ssl_url . DIR_REL . $pageObj->cPath);
