Datepicker not closing on safari
Permalink Browser Info Environment
On my form I have a html5 date field. On safari if i open the field to choose a dete the picker is not closing. not if I click on any other element or change field.
Scrolling helps to close the picker. But something is interrupting the standard behaviour of the date-input on android.
My datefield has a custom formatting for german dates (DD.MM.YYYY)

This isue was on a mac using safari 16.3 (recent version).
Did this on the page herehttps://www.kreuz-herzogenbuchsee.ch/de/bankette-seminare/seminare#a...
After choosing the date the datepicker does not close if you click beside the datepicker as a normal behaviour.
I compared it to a demo from herehttps://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_input_typ...

Hi Roland,
Seems it's an issue regarding the formating of the field.
Safari and HTML5 Datepicker with formating is a combination that isn't really working.
I could try to leave the formatting for what it is if it's used in Safari. It's not the best way, but workable I guess....
Best,
Wim

I can't seem to reproduce this...
Did you do this on a Mac? Or on an Iphone?
The android issue is fixed.
Best,
