transferring user's password

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I am not able to detect how to transfer over a user's password, also is it possible to transfer the date joined field? these do not show up on the selection box. I couldn't get the groups to transfer either, but i can do that by hand with a little time and effort.... thanks for a reply.

I know for sure that passwords can't be transferred over. First, it would be insecure to allow for exporting. But, most importantly, they're "one-way encrypted" based on the system they're used on. So even if you could export the "encrypted" version, they wouldn't do much good on the new system (which would re-encrypt them).

The only way to get this working would be to copy over the entire users table, and also copy the "site token" which is in a PHP file.

As for groups, I'm not sure what c5 allows to be exported.
