filter by language in multilingual site

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi Dave,

I'm using the pagelist+ in a multilingual site. The list is contained in a page-template and i'm filtering on specific topic from topic tree. This is working great, except that i get the pages from all the languages showing.

Is it possible to filter by language?
I know i can select a language parent-page as a page level to filter from. But there are to much pages to change this in all the second language pages. I would love the option to get automated filtering on language.

Maybe a simple solution is the possibility to be able to select the parent level or parent-parent level to filter from instead of 'current level'. Is this do-able?

regards, Maura

I will be adding 'At the parent level' to the next version of the addon.

'At the current level' is the siblings of the current page and includes the current page. You can also tick the 'all child pages' box, which essentially gets everything under the current page's parent.

The 'at the parent level' option will work in a similar manner, with the exception that it will go up two directories instead of one directory as 'at the current level' does.

In either case, if the home page is reached, Page List+ will respond as though 'everywhere' was selected in this filter.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for your quick reply! I don't know if it's gonna work with parent page, maybe you can determine what i need for it to work by looking at my screenshots?

In the screenshots you can see what the sitemap is and what i'm trying to achieve:

- The pagelist shows a folder 'specialiteiten', in there are 20 pages.
- Each of those have a pagelist which is filtering for pages in the folder 'mensen' for a selected topic.

This way i get a list of people that have the same speciality on their resume (the resume pages are in the folder 'mensen').

This works great, except i get all people listed twice, because all pages have duplicates in the dutch and the english language.

I can obviously do this by setting the 'nl' or 'en' folder to be scanned only. But i have to do that manually for all pages in all languages. And more to come then just 2x20.

It would be awesome if i could say to the list ''from level 2 and then just language X''
:-)
Maybe i want to much from the list, but maybe this is easypeasy for you?!
Let me know!

The new 'select pages in the current branch' should resolve your issue. It finds the top-most page in the site map from where you are (that isn't the home page) and only shows pages from that sub-section of the site.
