I have a similar question. For example, all our events are attended by people in the US, so asking for their country is a useless extra step. Any way we can change, at the very least, the requirement. Best would be to have an optional box at the end to add random event questions, like "dietary restrictions", etc.

I was able to do this by first removing the unwanted questions from single_pages>eventsys>register.php

then deleting them from the required list on controllers>eventsys>register.php
