How do I label a place on the map?

How do I label a place on the map? The latitude, longitude and zoom take me to the right place but I need to actually mark the correct building?

Whatever you're using to generate the KML file should be able to do that... like google Earth has icon options I believe.

I can create a kml file in google earth with all my items in it...I can check the file using textpad ++ and it looks ok but the addon just shows the default location.
If I download the kml and use it to open google earth then it shows the correct locations etc...
What is up???

can you post your kml?
sure, I had to change to another method as it seemed to load my kml but not render it, but when I downloaded it again and opend it in google earth it all looked ok...
