Questions about recent price increase

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I've used this block and think it's great, but it appears the price is now more than double what it was previously (I believe it was $35, now $75). Can you explain the revised pricing? I'm wondering if there have been dramatic feature additions I should know about. $75 is at the point where I'd consider creating my own block (I usually only need a subset of the Randomizer's capabilities).

Also, my understanding is the Message of the Day is kind of like the Randomizer with additional features, yet it remains at the same price it was before. Why?

both add-ons have had their default prices go up during the end of 2010 and now with the relaunch of concrete5.

Happy news, today you can pick them up together for less than $40 with the deal of the day:

heh heh.... the deal of the day was where I first saw the new Randomizer price and almost fell out of my chair.

Don't get me wrong... it may still be worth it to buy the block... but a 115% price increase is a hard pill to swallow!
Especially if it's essentially the same block as it was before.

I know, I know... quit complaining and either buy the block or don't. I'd love to know (but probably never will) how number of sales and revenue are affected by such a dramatic price change.

Thanks for your reply!
