Need to display "Heads Up!" messages regarding upcoming site maintenance? Or want to advertise a new product or feature on your site? Maybe you run a school website and need to notify users of class cancellations. No matter what kind of website you are building, you will likely need to broadcast important messages to your users at some point. Site Alerts does exactly that.
It is a simple add-on that allows you to place "Alert Display Area" blocks anywhere on your website, then manage the alerts that will display in them from the dashboard. You can broadcast sitewide alerts to all your users by setting up an Alert Display Area block in a GlobalArea. Or you can place your Alert Display Area blocks in different locations on different pages. How you set it up is completely up to you.
See the documentation page for recommended best practices for configuring the Alert Display Area blocks on your site.
