Hi Patrick, thanks for this nice AddOn. It works well and out of the box. No hassle :)

Superb Idea to let everyone know what is happening when they see all those like button! Love it; great Addon!

Just one thing: I'd like to translate the "2 clicks for increased privacy.." text, make it more explicit, and then remove the "i" and paramater box. I think the two are redundant and the info box is not working out in my layout.

Could you point me in the right direction? I'm no developper.
Thx a million for the Addon and your help.

Love It!

Great free addon for those that value giving their visitors a choice on how they want to be tracked. It is a shame this isn't a standard, especially after facebook has shown how they can cripple any site that autoloads their code. This script is amazing at keeping most of your visitors data safe and giving them another choice of who to share their lives with beyond "Do Not Track".

The port of this script to a C5 addon is great, could use a bit of polish, but is excellent as a free addon.

Love this add-on.

It could do with the 'i' leading to a page written in English. Or have an option to hide it.

Otherwise, it looks great! Works Great and it's FREE!

Thanks for another great FREE add-on!

Hi Wagdi,

thanks for your feedback. You can choose your own URL for the 'i' button from the settings.

1-click instead of 2-click

I had just download your add-On and I like it. Good job :) I hide buttons 'on' and 'off', and also 'Information' button. I was wondering is there easy way to remove this 1st click to activate buttons? I would rather have them already activeted.

Hi lemondemon,
I'm not really planning to offer this in the future because the 2-click functionality is the main feature of this add-on. But I am sure there are other add-ons that do what you need.

Good Basic Addon, Not Quite 5 Stars (Yet)

This is a very nice solution to the privacy issues of the social networking sites. A couple of things would make it better, but it's good enough that I'm using it happily on my site. If the author continues to improve it, this could very well be a 5 star addon in the future.

First off, at present, the "i" button for info takes you to a German language page. I can respect that the author is likely German. But an option to switch languages in the config and a different version for each supported language would be better, as this really breaks immersion for sites not in German! (I actually modded the tool myself and it now points to a local page on my site.)

The greyed out version of the facebook button uses just some weird fonted "F" instead of the facebook F. This would look better if it were the proper facebook logo f. (I could probably get my wife to fix this for me if I wanted to, but I haven't bothered yet.) --EDIT-- Apparently FB would get grumpy if I did. ;)

Facebook switches between "like" and "recommend" in the config but doesn't switch greyed out version. Or something to that effect anyway.

Beyond these minor issues, the only thing which would improve this addon even more is if additional sharing options were added in the future, or as part of another addon that matches this one. (But, that said, I am ok with using just these 3 at present.)

Thanks for your feedback, HarperJayne.

The missing "i" link in english language is something I thought about before as well. The problem is that I just didn't find a website in english that adequately described the problem. So if you know one - just let me know and I'll put that in the next version.

The weird Facebook "f" is due to the company itself complaining about the initial design. seehttp://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Facebook-beschwert-sich-uebe...
Facebook basically said: Only buttons that are a "real" facebook button should display the original graphics.

I'll think about two greyed out "like"/"recommend" buttons for the future.
