Field for long caption or description
Permalink Browser Info Environment
If there any field for image to add description ?
I have galleries which contains long captions, and if the option available for short captions, can I modify code to insert long captions or description ? Caption will be at the bottom of image as it is right now on addon.
Or
Do you consider to add this feature on future updates for long captions or description ?

Hi Thanks for the immediate reply.
But actually in my concrete 5.7 installation, under attributes there in no field for captions and titles for images.
Are this field available on gallery dashboard , i mean add-on dashboard ?
or They will be added after add-on installation ?
It will be great for me if you send me snapshot with long caption on full-screen.
And snapshot of title and description field. Please send me if possible.
I have website with 3250 pages and have lots of galleries in it.
Thank you again Nour.
Regards,
Suraj

From your dashboard you have to go to "Files" which will take you to C5 file manager.
There you click on any image you are using in the gallery and click on "Properties". A popup will appear with properties of the image.
Down the list, to the left, you will see 2 fields "Title" and "Description". Click on their content (in the right column) and edit them as you like, keeping in mind the limitation of 255 characters for the title and 4000 for the description.
For each one make sure to click the little blue check to save your text.
I am attaching 2 screenshots of the file manager and of the gallery using a long text in full screen

You have 2 types of captions with Touch Gallery.
1- caption under each thumbnail, limited to 255 characters
2- caption on each full-screen image, limited to 4000 characters.
I believe 4000 characters should be more than enough for any kind of caption, even long ones.
Those captions are taken directly from files attributes. If you go to your file manager and check any image's attribute, you will see 2 labelled Title and Description. Those are the 2 attributes Touch Gallery uses for Thumbnail and full-screen captions.
You can then decide to show them or not from Touch Gallery's settings.
I hope this answers your question. Let me know if there anything else I can help you with.
Cheers.
Nour
