Showing only one image as thumb
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,
I like your add-on Touch Gallery. it's a nice piece of work for a fair price.
Is it possible to show only one big thumb of a set of images (the first in the file set) instead of all the images in a file set? I want to use the tight_grid template. Clicking on the big thumbnail will show the slideshow of all the pictures.
With kind regards,
Piet Geelen

Hi again,
I noticed a problem with the one-thumb-tight-grid-styles you made for me.
I choose a width and hight of 635 pixels. This is fixed and therefore it doesn't resize when the view decreases. On a tablet or laptop with a smaller screen text in the nearby column will overlap the image. Is it possible to make this thumb responsive as the standard image block of C5 does?
I add 2 images where you can see what I mean. One is the normal situation (1920x1080) and the other in a smaller screen where you can see that the text block and the menu block are responsive but not the thumbnail.
On smartphones and screens with a minimum width of 1920 pixels it works great.
I used a layout with 12 columns where the thumb block and the text block have a width of 4 and the outer columns a width of 2.
With kind regards,
Piet Geelen

Hello,
See the attached template, it's a modified version of the previous one. I think it will solve the problem.
Let me know if it's ok.

Hi,
This is a brilliant solution for me. Thanks again for your help.
I only had to change the width and the padding in the .css file to avoid spacing.
Now it fits in the design.
I higly recommend this add-on, especially your quick service is admirable.

You are very welcome.
I know you already left a review but feel totally free to leave a second one if you want to :) No pressure, of course, your first one was really great.

Thank you for the nice words and for the review you left in June. I really appreciate it.
I am attaching a template called One Thumb Tight Grid that will do exactly what you want. Extract it in your root/application/blocks directory so you end up with:
root/application/blocks/touch_gallery/templates/one_thumb_tight_grid and inside that directory you will have the template files. Then just apply the template to your gallery.
Let me know if something is not clear.
