Preload more images at once than just the one currently requested?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Would it be possible to lazily preload more images than just the one that's requested in the moment the next or previous button is clicked? When moving to an image, it would be much more useful if the next and the previous image would always be preloaded, in order to ensure a smooth transition without delay even when dealing with big images.

Currently, when the options "Lazy Load" and "Lazy Follow" are enabled, only the currently requested image is loaded, but not the previous and next image, which one would expect from lazy loading.

Is there a way to tweak this so that the next and the previous image is always preloaded?

Thank you,
Michael

Hi Michael,
The feature you are looking for is not available in Owl 1 which is used in our add-on. It was added in Owl 2+ (LazyLoadEager). I searched if there is any solution for Owl 1 and couldn't find anything.
Cheers,
