Seems great so far!

So i purchased this theme as it did seem to have basically everything i was looking for and probably a little more also, so far what i like is the developer seems to have put a great deal of time to make this a premium theme, there is just so much packed into it.
The documentation is fantastic and very helpful.
The customization is fantastic and very easy.
all in all this is well worth the money spent!
I am still learning what else is on offer and i will do an update review when i have been playing with the theme a little more.

Easy for a beginner, full of modern features

I have found Anitya to be very full featured as an initial theme for my corporate site. I've forgotten more than I know about HTML/CSS and web design in general, so its nice to have something that looks very professional, is quick to load, and has modern features. Several people have made very positive comments about the design, look and feel and usability of my draft site.

It took me a bit of getting used to - many of the features are activated through configuration vice just being "drop and play" - however, usability of the theme in the designer is very good once you understand how it's constructed. It is very consistent.

The developer also seems to be very responsive through the support forum. I'm confident any issues I'll have will be addressed - or at least acknowledged.

I am reviewing version 1.2.1 for C5 V5.7 and up. (2.x review at the end of this one)

I waited to write this review as I purchased Anitya prior to version 1.0 and it still had some minor issues. Since I have now worked with this concrete5 theme for several weeks, implemented it on three web sites to date, and there have been some minor version updates, I thought it time to pen my thoughts.

It's an easy theme to install and get started with, and it has some very powerful features making website layout very simple. It's easy to start with one of several available colour schemes, and customize from there, and using just Anitya theme attributes, you can create large, even full screen, header graphics very easily. I have not tried the full screen video header, but it is available in the demo site to see. It's also easy to add new Main areas to the page using the "Number of Main Areas" attribute, and then adding layouts is simple as the theme uses Bootstrap to allow creation of columns for block placement. The theme even allowed me to put an SVG graphic in the Header Content, making the logo scalability smooth, and lightweight. And the parallax scrolling is a cool feature!

Anitya makes it simple to turn a stack into a 'slider' or 'accordion'. This is a great and very useful feature. There are custom styles that can make nice buttons from text and some other graphical embellishments. Some custom styles for the 'Feature' block also exist, but only work with limited success depending upon content and placement on the page. The most inconsistent Feature Block style is the "flip" - if it's low enough on the page, it will hang over the footer, ignoring the div boundaries.

The developer of this theme will respond to your questions, but it's not always the fastest. A lot of issues still remain open on the support page, although I believe some of them have been addressed.

The demo site (for those of you trying out the features before you buy) is usually a release or so ahead of the actual production version that you can buy, so make sure that the feature you fall in love with is actually available in the release unless you are willing to wait.

TL;DR: I really do like this theme and its flexibility. I believe it has a ton of potential, and already contains some great ideas. I hope the dev can address some of the key issues soon. I believe that with a few more revisions it will be worth the money. (Full disclosure: at the time of this writing, I own six copies.)

Version 2.x Upgrade: Yes, this is better and starting to show some serious promise. Worth the investment of both money and time - and it WILL take both.

As a UI/UX designer I was looking for a good starting off point and it's clear the designer of this theme has a firm grasp on design and front-end development.

With version 2's improvements such as several starting points. It'll be easy for anyone to get familiar with Concrete5 and the Anitya theme quickly.

I highly recommend this theme.

Poor support

designsforchange
I am very disappointed with the author of this theme.

First, there has been ZERO response to any of the multiple support tickets that I have submitted.

I've reached out to the C5 community and have received some feedback from them to try and fix some issues I've been having. But when the community says there are major issues and that I need to talk to the developer about them and I should request a refund.....Red flag.

Secondly, there are major mobile rendering issues which I believe to be unacceptable in this day and age of technology. Maybe I'm missing something and the issues could be resolved, but I'd never know unless I actually received a reply.

Sorry for the bad reveiw Anitya developer.

Nice Theme but the support is fare from expectations.

Dear Developer,

Yes the theme is nice and have some cool features.
But it's not enough to create awesome things. You should care as well (if you take money for it) the support by responding on any kind of questions or tickets. Even the "stupid" ones, at leased to give your feedback about you care or you don't care the topic.
It's not funny for a website editor to post in a black hole, while having problems with your products.
I've bought 2 themes from you, but seems to be not enough to get a responding communication.
The only response I get is the auto archive message from the C5 admin, because of missing activities in that topics.
Even you are very busy, you should care about responsive communications!
Therefore, I can give you only 3 stars. I'm very sorry for that.

Best wishes ... and a hint for changes, your customer!

Great theme... excessively full of customization surprises!

Redesign of existing website previously done in 5.4-5.6 with a modified Slate Theme. I hadn't touched my website in 3 years... had been letting recent client websites sell my services. I figured it was long overdue and used Anitya as a launching point! Great theme/package full of all kinds of extras!http://www.barkingtuna.com

Anitya is a great theme. It has a small learning curve but once you get the hang of everything it's super easy to make awesome content in a jiffy. So far i've created tons of content and i even learned how to use stacks! (sorry im a nube).

Cannot Install on Concrete5-8.2.3

I really wanted to use this theme but it is obviously not being updated.
I tried with a clean installation of Concrete5-8.2.3 and versions 2.1.4, 2.2, and 2.2.01.
