user profile link changed
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I just switched from elemental to cloneamental so I could remove the C5 brand from the footer of my website. I removed line 62 entirely (community support recommendation). it worked, but then I noticed that the nice profile box next to the log in / log out link on the footer disappeared! when logged in as a non admin, a plain profile link box now appears on top of the page, crowding the site wide navigation. So I put the code back on line 62 as before, only and just replaced the "concrete5" stuff with a simple "copyright". So that looks better, but it didn't get the profile link box back in the footer location. any suggestions? thanks community.
ps....logged in as admin, there is no longer a user profile link box showing.

comparing elemental to cloneamental, the "C5" is on the footer on different lines... in elemental it's on line 68, so maybe the nice profile link box is not part of cloneamental? and I just now noticed it?? My question now is, can I safely copy the updated footer.php from elemental and paste it in cloneamental's footer.php?? (or will this cause any path issues?)
Hi w2f,
Cloneamental is a copy of the default Elemental theme from concrete5 5.7. You are using concrete5 v8. There are going to be some minor differences between the two. When you encounter those differences, you can often copy the newer code from v8 and add it to Cloneamental.
Example: Cloneamental footer

I have attached a JPG that shows it appearing in c5-8.4.4 but it no longer appears in a clean install of c5-8.5.2.
Am I correct in assuming that it gets called up by this following html?
in footer.php ? And where can the code be found that calls it up?
