UPGRADING TO 1.2 FROM 1.1?

PLEASE NOTE THERE HAVE BEEN MAJOR CHANGES SINCE THE LAST VERSION.

How might you be affected?

If you are upgrading from the old version of Coffee Bean, please note that the new version is using Bootstrap v3.0.3 and there have been extensive changes in Bootstrap since the old version of Coffee Bean. You do not need to upgrade to the new version of Coffee Bean unless you want to have the new Bootstrap version. If you do upgrade, please be careful to back up your site first.

A major change we have made to the new version is to put the Coffee Bean banner into a Bootstrap jumbotron class. In the new version of Coffee Bean, the banner text is no longer a page attribute, but is directly editable from the page. Because the new version of Coffee Bean has new names for the banner image area and the banner text area, any images and text that you had in the old version will need to be saved and added again when you upgrade.

The new version of Bootstrap does not allow images to be automatically responsive. So if you want an image to be responsive, you need to add it using our “Image Responsive” block, otherwise the image will not scale.

You may find some slight changes in appearance due to the change in Bootstrap version. For example, the dropdown menu appears slightly differently in the new version. For the most part, the appearance should be the same or very similar.

You can read more about the changes in Bootstrap v3 here.
