Live Example menu does not shrink

Hi on Firefox and Chrome (laptop screen), the menu does not shrink (vertically) on any page, apart from the landing page. Instead it becomes translucent, and I don't like this because it takes too much vertical space up.
1. Can all the pages have shrinking menus?
2. Can you fix the demo site to have shrinking menus?

Attached is an image. I understand that perhaps the theme is set to show a translucent menu bar. However is there an option to make this option bar shrink, just like on the landing page (menu instead shrinks and turns black opaque)
Can you post screenshots? I cant seem to replicate the nav problem.
