Multiple issues

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I have encountered a number of issues.
Firstly the files/folders had incorrect permissions when extracted from zip file via cPanel, see screen grab.
Customise skin is missing any options with default skin. See screen grab.
Customised dark skin does not appear to be making any of custom changes made.

I don't see any way to change and or add fonts.
The selected font in customise it not being used.

The instructions on GitHub do not match what I see on screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Colin

Hi Colin,

Most of the mentioned problems reported last week by you and other users are addressed in 9.0.1.

Some of the features in 2.4.0+ have been disabled for the early release of the theme and they would be enabled again gradually.

I am updating the docs regularly to reflect the latest version.

For the font change, I am thinking about migrating to the new core feature and the theme customizer in the near future. For that, please stay tuned.

Thank you for your patience.

Just to say that I still experience many problems with your file package even after your 9.0.1 update - there are still problems with installing sample content, now there is also the fact that the file archive is destroyed and the path / folder structure no longer works .
I have had enough, the 50,-$ I have lost on the purchase is very little money compared to the time I have spent on the case.

Hi Tommy,
- About the installation with sample content, as I mentioned I could not reproduce the similar error in my environment.
- What do you mean by "file archive is destroyed" and "path structure no longer works"?

OK - I was my mistake - Think I have it working now.
Have a nice weekend.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I have updated and it has solved most of the issues.
To use this theme for the intended project I would need to change the fonts.
I don't see any easy way to add more Google fonts and set them as defaults.

Hi,

I have also noted that the font icons don't work if site is not in root directory as it does not call the theme path.

src: url("/packages/theme_pixel9/themes/pixel/css/fonts/font-icons.woff2") format("woff2");

Hi Collin,

I will investigate it further and see if there is a solution for that.
Thank you for reporting this.

FYI, the font customization feature has been added to the latest version, 9.1.0. In the simplest form, it should be quite straightforward and can be done via core customizer. For more advanced usage, I will update the documentation in the upcoming days.

Regarding the problem with paths when the concrete is installed on a path other than the root of the webserver:
From 9.2.5, a new variable, concrete-theme-path, is introduced in the core, which solves the issue. For more info check this topic:

https://forums.concretecms.org/t/theme-development-compiling-sass-fi...

It is integrated into the Pixel9 and will be available on the next version of the theme. (9.2.0+)
