Styling the Power Slider

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I'd like to position a div over the sliding image that would contain a transparent image.

I see the css for the PS, using firebug, but, but I can't seem to affect the display when I try editing any of the files in the blocks folder. What files would I alter to place my styled div, or make any other modifications for that matter?

thanks.

I have also tried to change the CSS for the Power Slider to no avail. In my case I was trying to center the images so that I could display Portrait as well as Landscape images.

I have tried style.css found in packages/rigidlight/blocks/power_slider_rigid/css/ as well as the igotstyle.css stylesheets. No luck.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

For the portrait/landscape difference, i changed the size and the canvas-size and -background of the pictures themselves before uploading. You got to prepare them a bit anyways, so that's not really a big hassle.
A free program like FastStone will do the trick.

If you wanna do it by code...wrap something like this around the <img> in view.php
<div style = "width: <?php echo $powerSlideWidth ?>px; height: <?php echo $powerSlideHeight ?>px; position: relative; text-align: center";>

I've been trying to do the same thing with CSS suggestions I've read on other threads, but had no luck. This last solution looks promising, but I need more guidance in what you mean by "wrapping" this code around the <img> I've hacked the CSS of this pretty well, but get pretty lost when it gets into PHP.

Here's the page in question. As you get further into it there are some narrow images, so would all look better centered, and I'd rather not have to go into all of the originals and make them wider.

Thanks for any help:

An additional note on the above: when you first load the page, it seems to start off in the center, then jumps to the left. I think this might be the result of some previous attempt I made, but can't remember what it was.

I have achieved this on this website

Take a look at the coloured PNG over the main banner image.
Hope this helps.
