Failing to install sample pages
Permalink Browser Info Environment
When I installed for the first time I got a timeout error from my web server. So I uninstalled and tried again. Then second time I got a message telling me Salix was already installed, and I got the sample pages but they are all blank. How can I now install the sample pages?

Thanks for the reply Jennifer.
That's pretty well exactly what I already did. I tried checking the remove folder box when uninstalling, then re-downloading, then re-installing, and that time I hit this error:
An exception occurred while executing 'insert into Pages (cID, siteTreeID, ptID, cParentID, uID, cInheritPermissionsFrom, cOverrideTemplatePermissions, cInheritPermissionsFromCID, cDisplayOrder, pkgID, cIsActive, cIsDraft) values (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)' with params ["444", null, "18", null, 1, "TEMPLATE", null, 443, 0, 0, 1, 0]: SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1048 Column 'cParentID' cannot be null

Next thing to try was refresh the page that was showing the error message. Now I see...
And when I browse to the home page and click edit, this is what I see...
Hello,
I'm not sure why you are getting this error. You could try checking the cache settings and clearing cache:
https://documentation.concrete5.org/user-guide/editors-reference/das...
https://documentation.concrete5.org/user-guide/editors-reference/das...
If this doesn't help, and you haven't done anything on the site yet (new site) you could try a fresh install of concrete5.
Thanks, Jennifer

Thanks for those suggestions. At this stage I am pretty happy to go ahead with blank pages because the templates seem to all be working correctly and the documentation has enabled me to get started. Now that I have started to get into it I am thinking that I can get by without the sample pages.
Okay, good. Thanks for letting us know, and best of luck with your project.

You will need to uninstall the package, and then re-install it. To uninstall the package, go to the dashboard and click on pages and themes. If Salix is the active theme, then you will need to first activate another theme, e.g. Elemental. Click "activate" by Elemental (or another theme), then "ok". To uninstall the package, click on "extend concrete5". Then click on "details" by Salix, click "uninstall package" > "uninstall". You should get a message "The package has been uninstalled".
Then install it again. On the same screen, click "install" next to Salix. Choose "yes" for Swap Site contents > "install Salix".
Thanks, Jennifer
