Update / redownload slate
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Ive got slate sitting in my themes folder. However before I moved it I edited the code when it was sitting in the packages../.. folder. Is there a way to download it to override whats in the packages folder without disrupting it from my site?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Whatever files are in the themes/slate folder should override the files in packages/theme_slate/themes/slate
remember that "Themes" is a single namespace so the Slate directories MUST have unique names like ~/slate and ~/slate_mymods
Thanks...is there a way to re-download download the theme without uninstalling it (ie when an update isnt available)?
If you havent associated your license with a project, you can login to your concrete5.org account and go tohttp://www.concrete5.org/profile/orders/... and you should see a Download Archive link next the the theme. If you have associated your license with a project, see the answer at the bottom of this thread to release it from your project:

Awesome!
Yes, good point Chris! Today I updated my Artisans site with the latest Slate version without realizing the implications for my carefully customized skin!
It was quite a shock to see it suddenly revert to the default skin but luckily I'd made a backup copy of the php and CSS files so all I had to do is remember where they came from so I could overwrite the later ones.
Luckily (or more likely by great coding from you!) they were still compatible with the new Slate so there don't seem to be any bugs emerging so far.
Right now I'm struggling to get to grips with adding PayPal and NoChex functionality in the e-commerce side so if I feel my brain hurting too much I may be asking a few questions in another topic later on!
Best wishes :o)

sure no problem!
My theme doesnt change, even though i have the slate folder in the themes folder. changes only occur to files that are in my packages/.. folders. ive renamed the themes/slate_mymods but its still not working. im doing all this in the root public html folder where everything is sitting ie not in the root/concrete folder. Is this correct?
