instagram link not working and back to top has gone

the back to top button down bottom right hand side seems to have dissapeared, how can i get this back please?

also linkedin button doesnt work and i want these to open in new tab, can this be done

hi there,

could you get back to me about the above today if you can as wanting to get site live today if possible, juts need back to top button showing again and also instagram link not working on the add-on.

appreciate all your help and ill get live when this is sorted.

Hi Dave,

When you're already logged in to your site, you can create back to top button by selecting content block and place it in "Sitewide Footermost Content2" area along with this code:

<p><span class="main-backtop">Back to top</span>
</p>

For the LinkedIn social icon, type in the search bar: social links
then click the social links under "System & Settings" and you will be redirected to the social links page. There you can set the URL for LinkedIn by clicking on its link. I hope this helps.

hi there, will i just add the code to the custom css section for back to top?

also ive already added the instagram link to social links in admin section, but it doesnt work, can i send you the login and can you check what the issue is, the instagram link is already in there but front end it doesnt work

also i had to delete the pre footer as didnt need it so can i place the back to top in the footer thats there? will it still be right aligned?

hi thats me pm you the login, could you try sort the back to top button to on footer, that be excellent, and were all done, i tried but couldnt get to show, sorry, im a nightmare

whats the easiest way to get this live from a sub folder, do i need to make chnages to the config file?

It will work by simply moving your files from subfolder to your root directory without anything to alter :)

hi there,

just about to go live, last thing is i want the social links to open in new tab, can i add code to custom area to achieve this?

dont want users going away from site when these are clicked.

Dave,

You may need to go to the theme's package folder and look for the social_links blocks directory. Here, you need to edit the view files and add a "target='_blank'" on the anchor tags.

for ease can you tell me what line tro edit and the full updated line of code with the target blank added, ill go into the code file and update this myself.

Hi,

The view file is located in packages / ds_stride57 /blocks / social_links / templates / stride_social_icon_circle / view.php

Look for the this code

<li><a href="<?php echo $link->getURL()?>"><?php echo $service->getServiceIconHTML()?></a></li>

and add the target="_blank" in. That should do it.

Try this:

added space between target and apostrophe.

Hi,

I don't see the code in the source code. Maybe it wasnt saved? Try clearing cache. If its still not appearing maybe you added the code on the wrong custom template?
