Adding Your Own Logo

By default, the logo area of Treviso pulls back the Site Name from the Sitewide Settings section in your dashboard, unless the Site Name stack has been created already - then it pulls whatever content is added in that stack. If you want to add your own company logo, simply add it to the Site Name stack in Dashboard->Stacks & Blocks.

If the stack Site Name isn't already created in your site, go to Dashboard->Stacks & Blocks and add a new stacked named Site Name. Then simply add a content or image block to that stack with your logo in it.

Note: Most likely the Site Name stack was created during installation of concrete5 and will already include a content block in it with the name of your site in a Heading One tag that is linked to your home page. This will cause the font of your site name to be really huge. To fix this, simply change the text from a Heading One to a Paragraph and remove the link (Treviso automatically wraps the Site Name stack in a link to your home page).

Setting Up the Home Page

Apply the Home page type to the Home page (put the home page in Edit mode and click the Design tab in the concrete5 toolbar. Select the Home page type and save.)

How to add a rotating message within the feature area:

  1. In edit mode click on Add to Feature.
  2. Add a content block.
  3. Write your text as an Heading One (H1) tag, comma-separating the text you want to rotate (for example: designers, developers, rockstars).
  4. Select your comma-separated text and then bold it.
  5. Switch to HTML view and within the <strong> tag add: class="rotate color".
  6. Save and publish.

See this thread for more info and example: https://marketplace.concretecms.com/marketplace/themes/treviso/support/rotating-message-in-jumbotron/

Adding Header Images to Pages

The header image is the image in the background behind where the Page Title and Description (if there is one) is outputted - directly under the nav bar on all page types besides the Home page type. This image will automatically be scaled to fit the entire area behind the Page Title and Description. To add a header image, do the following:

  1. When on a page, go to Edit->Properties.
  2. Click on the Custom Attributes Tab.
  3. Scroll down and look for the Header Image attribute in the left hand column under All Attributes. Click on it to add it to the right column under Selected Attributes.
  4. Click Choose File and choose the image you want to use from the File Manager or Upload a new one. Hit Save at the bottom right of the Properties dialog box.

Associating a Feature Image with a Page

The Feature Image is the image that is associated with a page that shows up in the custom page list templates (Carousel, Portfolio Carousel, Portfolio Sortable, and Blog List templates). To add a feature image, do the following:

  1. When on a page, go to Edit->Properties.
  2. Click on the Custom Attributes Tab.
  3. Scroll down and look for the Feature Image attribute in the left hand column under All Attributes. Click on it to add it to the right column under Selected Attributes.
  4. Click Choose File and choose the image you want to use from the File Manager or Upload a new one. Hit Save at the bottom right of the Properties dialog box.

Using the Custom Page List Templates

Treviso comes with multiple custom page list templates: Carousel, Portfolio Carousel, Portfolio Sortable, and Blog List. Note: In order for the Carousel, Portfolio Carousel, and Portfolio Sortable custom templates to render correctly, you must add them to either a page that uses the Full Width page type or a page that has a page type with a full width area (such as the Main area in the Home page type).

  1. First, associate a Feature Image with each page. See previous section above.
  2. Next, add a Page List block to the page you want the page list on. Choose the options you want for the pages to be displayed. Click Add to add the block to the page.
  3. Now, click on the block that you just added and choose Custom Template from the menu. Then, select one of the custom templates from the drop down. Hit Update. Exit Edit Mode and Publish your changes.

Creating a Portfolio section

To create a Portfolio listings page:

  1. Add a new page with the page type Full.
  2. See previous section above about how to add a page list block and select the Portfolio Sortable custom template. Note: You'll want to set the page list block to display pages of the Portfolio Item page type, and most likely located beneath this page.

To create a Portfolio Item page:

  1. Add a new sub page with the page type Portfolio Item under your Portfolio listings page.
  2. To add the list of Services/Skills, go to Edit->Properties. Click on the Custom Attributes Tab. Scroll down and look for the Services/Skills attribute in the left hand column under All Attributes. Click on it to add it to the right column under Selected Attributes. Fill in the Services/Skills. Hit Save at the bottom right of the Properties dialog box.
  3. To add the gallery, go to Edit->Properties. Click on the Custom Attributes Tab. Scroll down and look for the Gallery attribute in the left hand column under All Attributes. Click on it to add it to the right column under Selected Attributes. Choose the Fileset to use for the Gallery. Hit Save at the bottom right of the Properties dialog box.
  4. Add any other content you want to the Main Area.
