{..."error":false...} problem

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello!

I've tried to install this add-on on my 5.4.4.1 C5 web site, but after adding domain and 'Search' I get the following error:
{"aID":"3","arHandle":"Sidebar","cID":"1","error":false,"bID":"106"}

Any idea what might be wrong?

Hi,

I have just tried it in the same version of concrete5 and I can't replicate the error.

What is the domain you have set it to search, if you could give me it exactly as you have typed it in that would be helpful.

Thanks
Allan

Sorry that works fine for me as well, if you want me to look at your page then just give me the details and I will take a look

Cheers

Well, I see that the block is placed on the page and it 'works', although the site is not indexed (yet), but I wonder if it is normal that one receives the output mentioned in 1st message after install?

I get a similar message when first adding a block to the page in 5.4.4.1 - this is a bug and should be fixed.

Hi,

I have tried the following to replicate the fault by doing the following

1. Install on a site running 5.4.1.1
2. Place block on page and do a test on the local domain - no errors
3. Uninstall package before deleting block - no errors when page checked
4. Re-install, place block on page and then delete block and check page - no errors

I'm struggling to replicate the fault, as said before if you can provide further info then I will happily look further into the problem.

Thanks
Allan

I'm not sure what else I can add to it, it just showed up with a json string and nothing else when I went to add the block. I've seen this happen if the block causes a javascript error and javascript stops working on the page, or if javascript validation of the form fields fails in some circumstances you will get this as well. I'm not sure what the cause was in this case, it didn't end up that this block would work for what I needed anyway, I just tried it out this morning.
