Is there any way to show the file name that the user is uploading, i.e. as in the attached screenshot?

Do you mean the file name from the user's point of view, or from the system point of view - snapshot can be configured to 'create' a file name from all kinds of properties.

From a user's point of view, during the form filling process an uploaded file will be shown as a thumbnail (for images) or as an icon for other types.

[edit] The uploaded name will be a shown with the thumbnail or icon.https://c5magic.co.uk/addons/form-reform/file-upload... - see the image annotated 1/2/3.

I am not back at my desk until tomorrow evening, so can confirm then or Friday with a few more details.

Am back at my desk now. Do you need further help with the uploader?

Thanks, I think I need to change the pipeline to see what you have in your example, I will do that and come back to you

Unfortunately, I am not seeing what is in your documentation.

With the drag n drop uploader that works fine, but once closing the overlay, there is nothing to tell the user what file they selected or if it was actually selected.

A quick double check - The uploader block you have added is the form input control, as in the Form Reform blocks group, and not the general snapshot upload block ?

Yes I am using the Drag & Drop File Input block from the Form Reform list of blocks.
The site uses Boostrap 5, that comes with v9

Also, what framework is your theme using?

That all sounds like a typical use and environment.

For a guest upload, the 'upload guest as user' or a logged in user needs to have permission to add and delete files in the __snapshot_quarantine folder of the file manager, as per **Security Considerations** onhttps://c5magic.co.uk/addons/form-reform/file-upload.... The user also needs Add permission to wherever the final destination is (but that is only required after the form is submitted)

Are there any errors showing in the browser dev console or recording in the site log?

Is the site anywhere I can login to it? That would be the easiest way for me to check and advise.

From the start I have used an Administrator user for 'upload guest as user' so they should have permissions.

No errors in the console.

That would be great if you could login and check, might spot something straight away that I haven't done right!

I've added everything in the page type defaults for Career > Career Post

Thanks
Dave

Did you manage to look at the site and see the issue I am having?

I sent the below by email on 26 Feb.

I can login OK.

I don't have permission to see task permissions or file manager permissions, or to see permissions of folders in the file manager, which is where I previously suspected the problem may be found, so cannot check the permissions. I would not advise using an administrator as the 'upload guest as user'. For guest upload I would create a specific user such as 'general applicant' and give that user only the permissions needed to upload as per previous notes.

I am having trouble actually finding a form to look at. Can you give me an exact URL for a page with a form on it, all blocks ready and exhibiting the problem. I can then have a look and check the form is configured correctly for upload.

To check the permissions, I will either need the relevant permissions to work with the various permissions, or the super admin login.

Thanks for checking in. This got too complicated for something we were trying to do so parked it for now.
