Is this compatible with version 8

This wonderful add-on installs and runs under version 8 but I'm nervous that the settings it changes might have different meanings under version 8 or that there are new settings in version 8 that are not touched by the current version. Any thoughts?

I'm investigating v8 configuration options in these days (You'll probably see some more configuration-related pull requests on github as my investigationschedule proceed ;) ).

About old configuration options that now have different meanings: it is not the case.
