I would guess that it will work with C5.5 as well if you do manual installation because it only covers developer-level stuff and is not related to any dashboard pages or anything visible.
However, we will drop support on this one for 5.5+ because of which it hasn't been marked compatible. The reason for this is that we have a more overall tool coming up in the PRB.
