Blog posts from various dates are not visible

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi there,

I need some help with Pro-blog. I have installed it on my new corporate sitehttp://www.humanc.nl
. I'm enjoying the functionality and it seems to all work really well. I only have one problem; I would like to be able to post the date that the event takes place at instead of the creation date that is automatically generated by Pro-blog. Another problem is that I can't see blogs with a piblication date set in the future, is this a bug or a feature? ;o)

Many thanks in advance

correct. Post dating prevents visibility and are filtered out. That way you can publish and work on content delivery to be delivered on timed releases.

What I would do is utilize the "ProBlog Additional Attributes" field and add an "event date" field.

Then edit the block view you are using and add something like:

if( date('Ymd', strtotime($c->getAttribute('custom_event_date_handle'))) ){
     echo t('Date of event').': '.date('d/m/Y', strtotime($c->getAttribute('custom_event_date_handle')));
}

'custom_event_date_handle' being whatever you make the handle of your new date attribute.

Hope this helps.
