It appears that the Facebook API has been recently changed, so we will update this package soon. Looking into it now.

Any update as to when the Facebook API is going to be fixed for the Social Feed?

Guys, I came here because I saw the same issue. Been working for years now it just stopped. This is a critical issue. Please at least let everyone know the ETA for this fix.

Hi there-

Do you have an ETA on when the new version will be ready to launch?

Thanks,
Tony

Please any ETA or at least a cause for the issue so we can fix it ourselves?

We're on the final testing stages right now, so assuming everything passes, a new version (1.8) should be released within the next couple days.

That's great mine and my customers versions are not working either.

Ok, version 1.8 has been released, so you will need to upgrade to that.

There seems to be a bug in this release. I have Instagram setup and when I go to the page that has the Social Feed block on it I get redirected to an Instagram page requesting my login. Could you please look into that?

You can see this at:

This is not a bug. If you activated Instagram, then you need to set up a Client ID.

1.8 has a new approach to setting up Instagram. In your dashboard, go to:

yourwebsite.com/dashboard/social_feed/settings

You'll see a tab for Instagram. There are instructions on how to set this up.

Granted, not all documentation is in place for this new release.

When I go into the full Dashboard there isn't anything that shows for Social Feed and if I go the URL that you provided, but with my domain name added I get a page not found message. It does show me as upgraded to 1.8 however. Am I missing something?

Did you simply upgrade, or do a fresh install?

If you only upgraded, you may want to try uninstalling Social Feed, then re-install it and see if that helps.

I did an upgrade rather than a fresh install. Can this not be upgraded?

It looks like I am missing the upgrade function in this version.

So, the best thing to do for now would be to uninstall Social Feed, clear the cache, then do a fresh install.

No, the best thing to do would be to please add the upgrade function ASAP

Setting up the upgrade code would be the right way to do it. Currently I can't get into the block to pull the API keys and account information for the social feeds that I've already setup.

There's also a lot of documentation missing, as well.

Facebook and Twitter feeds should work right now.

I'll work on a maintenance release, which will have the following:
- Add upgrade function for adding dashboard pages
- Make it so certain feeds that require an API setting can't be added until an API is added in dashboard (Google+, YouTube, and Instagram)
- Improve / add to documentation

That would be great.

Have you released the maintenance update yet for Social Feed so you can upgrade without having to reinstall yet? I need that right away.

The Facebook and Twitter feed are not working in my version of Social Feed. I have 1.8 installed with Concrete5.6.3.2. I'll be updating the 5.6.3.3 today but I'm sure this will not change anything. I wasn't working when I hadn't updated from Social Feed 1.6. After updating, it still didn't display those two feeds. So, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still doesn't display those two feeds.
