Sticky Nav
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I am using the Alpha theme--but my Top Bar Nav (that is the template selected) isn;t sticky like it is on your site, athttp://themes.formigo.co.uk/?theme=Alpha,... meaning, on yours, when you scroll down, the Nav becomes smaller and then sticks to the top.
I'd love that. How can I enable that on my Alpha enabled site?

I've been developing this site for months, never once has the nav stuck to the top. I just discovered the behavior on your site when I was browsing for information.
Guys, seriously "unable to diagnose further"? How do we know the issue is caused by JS errors elsewhere?
I love Formigo code/themes/addons but it seems like each issue reported to you is pushed back by you. It's not a good approach.

The theme works perfectly on all other instances/installs/sites apart from the one where you have javascript errors. This obviously leads us to the fact that the problem is local to you and your code. Not trying to shift blame just citing the facts.
We can not diagnose something that is broken by other add-ons or code outside of the theme. The best thing to do, is to remove the offending scripts and then test to see if it works again.
When there is a bug or issue with any of our code/products we are more than happy to diagnose and fix.

Your statement that is working on all other sites is questionable. I didn't even know about this behavior (sticky nav) until recently and I've been using the theme for 8 months. Very well could be others with the same issue albeit unreported.
The add ins you mention ( eg flex slider) are not in each page yet this problem fails in every page.
I understand you can't be responsible for all add ons but in this world we live in with multiple add ons we need developers like formigo to lead the way of resolution. We don't have a hacked together site. It's just several modules that need to work together.
If you can identify something to disable and test we will be happy to do that.

Couple of things:
The code in your auto nav template is not right...you have:
It should be:
The code you are using in the auto nav seems to relate to code from the Foundation5 theme which I can see you have also bought. Could you explain?
The 'sticky' class in the nav is what makes it 'sticky' without this it wont work.
Secondly - we are all for other add-ons playing nice together but when they are broken and show errors on the page it is very difficult to work past this, I am sure you can appreciate that.
Please let us know what is going on with your auto nav template and then we can go from there.

I did buy both Foundation 5 and Alpha from you, but settled on Alpha. Both are installed. Is that the problem? I left it because F5 installed several useful add-ons.
I see--that Top Bar Tall was the Custom Template that I selected for the Auto Nav. I just changed it to Alpha Main Nav. But still not sticky.
Disregard, a clear of the cache, and it is not sticky. Thank you. There were several custom templates for the nav and I must have selected the F5 one and that was conflicting.
So, almost there. It is now sticky, however it is dropping down below your white bar, so the nav is below it and that makes it too transparent. See the attached screenshots comparing mine to your default page.
Please respond to this.
Also, please note, despite the javascript errors you had noted, the only problem was the incorrect template (from your other theme, foundation 5, also installed) was applied.

Can you PM us a login to the site.
After spending best part of an hour going through every third party CSS style sheet on your site (there are lots) I have found that by disabling the Page List Pro CSS renders the autonav as intended. There must be a conflict in there.
Thank you for the message.
However, when I delete the panelist pro block now the Nav is no longer sticky. Seehttp://odexcellencedev.com/about/...
With the panelist pro block it remains sticky, but doesn't have the white background as it should instead remains transparent. If all I needed to do was delete pagelist pro and abandon that add-on that would be fine, but it seems to have exacerbated the situation to delete it.
I have PMed you credentials.

The About page navigation now works fine for me - do you need to clear your site/browser cache?
No, I did that. This appears to fail in Safari. Works in Chrome, but is not sticky in Safari.
This still fails in Safari. Working in Chrome, but not working in Safari.
Your site is currently in maintenance mode so the only page we can view the navigation on is /login. It works fine for us in Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
I sent you credentials via PM so you can check it out.
BTW where did the 'top-bar-tall' class in your navigation come from? That is not in our code? Have you added this yourself...
It is worth noting that if change core code in the theme package then potentially you will break things.

I did not add that. No idea where it came from. Other than changing colors the theme is as installed.

The navigation should stick to the top by default. Looking at your site you have multiple javascript errors from third party add-ons... count.json & jquery.flexslider. Please note these are not from the theme.
We are unable to diagnose any issue with the navigation until you have resolved those issues I am afraid.
Thanks
