Slow in Concrete CMS 9.2.*

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,

the URL of our website ishttp://ankestieber.de and the problem is that the site is terrible slow on the first view, greater than 7 seconds. I turned the cache off so you can test it yourself. If we are working in the backend it makes a bad workflow, and of course a terrible user experience.

If we are changing the theme to "Atomic" the first view speeds up under 1 second. You can test it herehttp://svenstieber.de/. Its a testsite i created today and the test with your theme is the same as on ankestieber.de.
Do you have any Idea why this happens?

I hope my description of the problem is clear, its not so easy to find the right words in english.
Kind regards
Anke and Ralph Stieber

Hi Anke and Ralph,

Sorry for the late reply to this ticket, I visited the URL of your website and it seems it is slow on loading using the Bethel theme. I will investigate further on this on why the website is slow while using Bethel Theme. I will let you know if I found a solution to fix that issue.

Best regards,
Neil

Hello Neil,

do you have / find any hints right now?
Is it possible to test the behaviour with an other theme of you?

Kind regards
Ralph

Hi Neal,

i Found an/the issue. I deleted a row in the file "header.php". Row 21 with the content:

$nav->controller->displaySubPageLevels = 'all';

Now the page is loading with full speed.
Disadvantage is that the mobile navigation is limited now to the main level.

Perhaps you can help here further.

Kind regards
Ralph

Hi Ralph,

I have updated the Bethel Theme to fix the header.php issue. Let me know if you are able to update your Bethel theme to the latest and will solve the issue.

Best regards,
Neil

Hello Neil,

for your Information: the current status is working well.
We dont use the possibility to show the sublevels in the main menu. If we change this the side becomes slow again. Perhaps it renders the complete amount of pages every time, which results in this delay (there will be more than 4000 pages in the end). But this will be no issue because we stay with the way of the menu.

Thanks for your help (I hope I could have explained it well enough with my english)

Kind regards
Ralph
