Can't Update

Getting error when trying to update to 2.1.7 from 2.1.5. Getting the "This package isn't currently available for this version of concrete." I'm using concrete 9.2.1. I would do manual update but where do I download the latest version of Modena theme?

Hi There,

Apologies about this, unfortunately, we haven't been able to get to the bottom of this issue, and even Portland Labs (the company behind Concrete CMS) are also unable to see what is going on. We believe the issue has been caused by an update to MariaDB the database software some hosts use, but we are unable to identify the exact cause.

A Manual install should bypass the issue, If you have linked your license to your Concrete account you will need to release your license before you download the theme, you can do this by going to your account in Concretecms.com and go to "Projects" click on the project and at the bottom of the following screen you should see a button to unlink your license.

While you are in your account you can then go to "Transactions > Licenses" there you will see Modena available as a download.

Once downloaded you can do a manual install/update of your theme, Please follow the instructions found herehttp://modena-docs.vidalthemes.com/... under the "Install (Theme Forest)" section, We are aware you did not purchase from Theme Forest but the process is identical.

Again we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused, once this one update is installed we expect that the issue will be resolved and you will be able to re-link your license and continue to receive updates normally.

Best regards

David

Hello David. I was able to unlink the theme and download version 2.1.7 successfully. I then uploaded to my web hosting file manager to packages folder as instructed. I replaced the Modena folder with the new version in the packages folder. When I logged in to my concrete website and pushed the Extend Concrete i received an error message "An Unexpected Error Occurred. An error occurred while processing this request. Any thoughts on a resolution? Thanks for the support!

Hi There,

Sorry to hear that, it should work, can you go to:

dashboard > reports > logs

and see if there is a more detailed error message?

Best regards

Thanks for that. I looked at the log and went in and deleted the "Old" modena folder in my file manager and presto was able to go in and update package successfully in concrete website. Thanks for the super fast and reliable support. I'm in the process of redesigning another site and will definitely be planning on purchasing and using another copy of Modena theme. Thanks again for the awesome support!

Have a great day!
