Gray Column Color for Off-Screen Hero unit

Hi,
Thank you again for all the help so far!
I tried to read through the forums before I messaged but couldn't find anything to my knowledge. Is there a way to change the background color of the grey column? I understand it's not attached to the block. and I don't see it in the customization for the template. Maybe I have to apply custom css Please let me know.

Not a problem, glad I could help.
For the hero unit background please follow the steps below:
1/ Place your site in edit mode, then go to the offscreen hero unit, hover over the bottom left corner of the hero unit and you should see a little grey box with something like "Column 1" in it.
2/ Click on that "Column 1" box and from the menu click on "Edit Layout Design".
3/ You will then get a small toolbar to appear, click on the image icon, and from there you can change the background colour for that area.
