I cannot download the Modena Package for installation.

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Installation doesn't work in version 9.

It throws this error:
"This package isn't currently available for this version of Concrete . Please contact the maintainer of this package for assistance."

I read topics on just manually installing the package. Which I'm happy to do, but where can I download the files?

Hi There,

Apologies for this, if you have not assigned your license already it can be found in your concrete account under:

Transactions > Licenses

There should be a download link next to the theme.

If you have assigned your license go to "Projects" in your Concrete account, there you can click on the project containing the theme, and release it from there. then go to Transactions > Licenses as above.

Best regards

David

Thanks, got it installed. But why does it look so bad? See attachment.

As you have chosen to install without the demo data, nothing has its custom templates on etc, these will have to be added manually. Please see the docs for how to build from scratch.http://modena-docs.vidalthemes.com/...

If you take a look at the "Home-page setup" section that will tell you how to build things out without the demo data.

I did install the full site, see attachment. However I installed the latest version. And the documentation refers to Concrete 5. But Modena says it's version 9 compatible, so it shouldn't matter?

Hi There,

No sorry, to clarify that is the Concrete CMS demo data, you also need to install the Modena Demo data, when you first install your theme and go to "Dashboard > Extend Concrete" you will see a screen like the one attached, it has the option to clear the site and replace it with the Modena Demo data, or leave the existing data from Concrete CMS, it defaults to "No" so if you didn't manually check the box you didn't get the demo data.

If you wish to install the demo data you still can. If you go to "Dashboard > Pages & Themes" there activate any theme that is NOT Modena, it does not matter which one.

Then go to "Dashboard > Extend Concrete" next to Modena click on "Details" and then click the red "Uninstall Package" button, please DO NOT check the box "Yes, remove the package's directory from the installation directory." as this will delete all the theme files from your install, and you will have to start from scratch uploading the files to your server etc.

After the uninstall process completes you will then be able to install it again, when presented with the attached screen please make sure to select "Yes, reset site content with the content found in this package" You will then get all the site's demo data.

The documentation was all written for V8 and V9, Concrete 5 is the old name for Concrete CMS, I apologise for any confusion caused, we will update the docs to bring the new naming convention up to date.

Best regards

David
