To setup the content like the demo:

1. Setup the logo for your site. Instuctions.
2. Change the home page type to 'Home'. If you do not have the "Home" page type, go to "Pages and Themes" in the dashboard, and then click "Inspect" next to the theme, and then click "activate files" button.
3. In order to use the built in slider on the home page, go to "concrete5studio" in the Dashboard and then click the "Studio Portfolio" tab. Here you can change some options, including changing the color, and enabling the home page slider. Once you have enable the slider, fill out the slide forms with the appropriate content. For the first slide, I added an image, then I set it to "float: right" then I added the <h1> heading and the paragraph. You need content and titles for at least two slides in order for the slider to work properly.
4. Next add the paragraph to the main area, then add a content block to column 1, if you want the icon to appear on the left like the demo, select "Heading 2" from the format menu, add your icon image, then enter your heading text. Then you need to add the paragraph, make sure you select "icon_left" from the styles dropdown if you want the text to clear the icon.
5. For the sidebar, add a content block and use the "Sp Sidebar" custom template, to get the border and white background. The heading with a border is a "Heading 2" and the icon is an image that is aligned to the right. For simplicity, I am just using a content block for the blog posts, instead of any blog package.
6. For the footer columns, just add content blocks with the appropriate content. For the phone, email, and address icons make sure to set the image alignment to "middle". The search block also has a "Studio Portfolio" custom template.
