It apperas that the block builder does not support radio buttons, check boxes, and multiple select field types.
Are there plans to add these field types in the near future?

I will think about it.
Radio buttons are practically the same thing as current "Select field" (it's just select instead radios).
Checkboxes and multiple select (enhanced with javascript) could be seen as the same (ability to check multiple options instead one).
I could probably enhance current "Select field" with additional options to achieve this.
It shouldn't be too difficult to implement this, but I will not give you specific date when it will be done, since I will be working on it in between jobs/in my free time.
