Can't choose images in File Manager

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi... for some reason I can't choose images from File Manager - nothing happens. Could there be a javascript clash? I'm on C5.8.5.4. Thanks

Hi

This should help:

Since concrete5 version 8.5.3 multiple file selection is back. When you open File Manager, select one or more Images (you can hold CTRL or SHIFT button to select multiple files), click arrow next to "Name" header and select "Choose Files".

Hi... I’m afraid that’s not the issue. If I go to my image or images in the file manager and hit ‘choose’ nothing happens and no images are chosen. Have emptied site cache but still no luck... I think there may be an issue with JS? I’m using fundamental theme. Thanks

It seems that "Choose" from context menu (when you right click image) doesn't work. It is probably a concrete5 bug.

So, you need to select image/images by left clicking it (hold shift or ctrl to select multiple) and then click arrow icon next to "Name" header (in table header). Then click "Choose" from menu.

Second, some of your images were uploaded invalid, propably because of their size.
Navigate to:
/dashboard/system/files/image_uploading
and enable browser-side resizing (1920x1080 for images is more than fine). It should solve another problem that would appear if you select invalid files.

Hi. Thanks for taking a look. Unfortunately, the add-on isn't going to work for my client in that case. I'm going to request a refund. Good spot on the image sizes... that's not the issue, but the client is obviously uploading huge images which I'll sort out.

Is selecting images a reason for refund? I plan to bring back single file selection to addon relatively soon (beside still keeping multiple file selection).

It's possible you disagree, but if I can't select images then it's not doing what was expected... I chose this add-on on the basis that the client would be able to easily add images without messing with sets. I've had to go with something else on this occasion, hence the refund request.

It's already changed in latest version of addon to single selection (plus optional multiple selection).

Hi... that seems to have fixed it. Thanks. I guess I can't ask for a refund now! I'll save the addon for a future project... many thanks
