It would be nice if you could add an attribute to an image e.g. 'ProPhoto_Link' which could contain the URL you're taken to when clicking an image.

Well, you CAN add the attribute of course, I mean have ProPhoto use it for the link rather than or in addition to the whole passing a request parameter to a destination page.
