Slideshow showed in the preview

How may i add that sort of "featured slideshow" that can be seen in the preview of the theme (in the blue area)? I can't figure how, do i need a particular add-on?

No special blocks used just the core 'slideshow' block that comes with Concrete5.
However, if you haven't already you will need to activate the 'home' page type and then use that page type to get the desired layout. You can do this by going to your sites:
Dashboard>Themes&Pages>. Then click the inspect button under the innovation theme. On the next page click the 'home' page type and then activate.

thank you, i didn't have "home" page type, so i added it, and when i added the page to my site it showed "featured text" and "featured images" areas.

Now it's easy to setup an image slideshow and a fixed text like in the interactive demo of this theme, but it would be great to make a slideshow of "text+image", switching between different texts with images associated to them, both on a time basis and using a control.

Looking carefully at the icon of the theme i can distinguish four little white squares that seem to serve this purpose. I guess it would be something like the "page list" block (which seems to miss the slideshow capability).

So on all other page types there is a breadcrub part instead of the featured content? Why do some blöocks not work or show up in the breadcrumb?

And if I have an array of social networking icons, why do they not show horzontally but are always displayed vertically? I could not fix this at all.

rritz,
It's hard for me to know exactly what you're talking about. If you left a link to your site I might be able to help you better.

This is just a theme - a skin for your website. If a block does not work in a particular area it's more likely that it has something to do with the block than with this theme. Especially in regards to the Social Icons. If you want them to display horizontally then you will have to edit the specific .css of that block and not the theme. If you are unfamiliar with HTML and .css then you should take some time to get familiar with these languages so you can get your site looking the way you want.

Libre,
This is a stale post, I'm sorry for the delay.
Actually, the picture in the icon is a snapshot from the original theme. This theme is not mine but was converted for use with Concrete5 in accordance with the owners terms and agreements. So yes, the picture has a nicer slideshow in it than what was available at the time in Concrete5. However, since this theme was created a lot of nice add-ons have made their way into the market place. You could achieve what you are looking for by using the Power Slider Lite add-on.
Thanks and Sorry
